This exciting opportunity would suit anybody currently studying for a psychological qualification but it is also open to those who feel they fulfil the criteria.
You will assess referrals, carry a small caseload, attend MDT meetings and support the day to day running of the team. You will work with other professionals from various disciplines and develop experience of being part of an exciting MDT setting.
You will be part a of a team of experienced psychological professionals working dynamically to support the patients and loved ones referred to St. Peter’s Hospice. You will be supervised and supported in your work and develop new skills and perspectives.
The EPS team works with adults and children, individually and in groups. We work face to face with our patients and clients, in our therapy rooms, in their homes or on the inpatient unit as well as remotely. The team also boasts a dedicated group of volunteers so there is the opportunity for formal and informal supervision.
We are looking for individuals with energy, enthusiasm, and possibly some experience of working in a team. You will be an excellent and empathetic communicator who is a supportive team member. Someone who can work dynamically in the ever-changing mental health landscape and support the greater organisation.
The work the EPS team does can be challenging; supporting those affected by the psychological effects of a terminal illness and bereavement. These individuals might be living with existing mental health challenges as well as complex social circumstances. We are looking for someone who feels they will be able to flourish and contribute to this challenging context.
What We Can Offer You
- Salary: Band 5 equivalent from £29,123 to £34,650 (FTE) per year, dependant on experience
- Full and part time hours available, up to 37.5 hours per week
- Temporary, 2 year fixed term roles
- Based at the hospice in Brentry
- Recruiting for more than one role
