About NSPPL :
NSPPL has been established in Feb 2013 by a group of Syrian doctors overseas to help the people whose parts has been imputed as a result of Syrian war and provide them with prosthetic parts and the appropriate rehabilitation and NSPPL is non-profit organization which serves people in Syria and Turkey.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide psychosocial support to amputees accessing NSPPL prosthesis center, including assessing their psychosocial readiness for a prosthesis.
  • Provide psychosocial support to the families and/or carers of amputees accessing NSPPL prosthesis center.
  • Maintain accurate records of all psychosocial support sessions conducted at the center and provide input to reports, as required.
  • Represent NSPPL at relevant coordination meetings, as required.
  • Uphold core values of confidentiality and non-discrimination in the course of his/her work.
  • conduct group sessions for mental health counselling and awareness sessions on psychosocial health
  • Provide 1-1 individual counselling and Psychological First Aid.
  • Provide individual counselling and behavioural therapies (e.g. CBT) for patients assessed as requiring MHPSS services. Patients will be assigned according to the psychologists’ current level of experience and specialist training.
  • Monitor patients’ progress against psychological goals within the case plan using relevant clinical tools/scales, and participate in case review meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all consultations and assessments.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • BA degree in Psychology or Psychological counselling.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a psychologist, or similar position.
  • Excellent written and oral Arabic language skills. English language skills are preferred.
  • Competent in IT, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Residents of Jarabulus
