UNHCR has helped tens of millions of people to restart their lives and works in 123 countries to care for the world’s millions of refugees, internally displaced and stateless persons.

Within UNHCR’s Division of External Relations (DER), the Private Sector Partnership Service (PSP), based at the UN City in Copenhagen, supports the Agency’s global collaboration with the private sector through its network of fundraisers and national associations in multiple operations located in the different regions, (i.e., Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East and North Africa, and Africa (“the PSP network”). The current PSP Global Strategy has the vision to grow PSP into a service capable of generating $1bn annually and focuses on both individual giving (IG) and private partnerships and philanthropy (PPH) and identifies priority markets and regions. PSP’s Private Partnerships and Philanthropy Section (PPH) builds and manages partnerships with corporations, foundations, and High Net Worth Individuals (collectively called “PPH donors”). A subset of the PSP Global Strategy and within wider organizational changes within UNHCR is aimed at guaranteeing that the Organization has the structure and resources in place to effectively respond to the challenges of forced displacement.
