Job Purpose

Based in __Gaziantep___, the << Protection Officer>>> under the line management of the <> will be responsible for:

  • Plan, organize, and evaluate the activities concerning the project and the team associated, according to Sened’s values, policies and protocols, and right standards, in order to submit the related reports.

Key Activities/Tasks/Duties:

  • Description of responsibilities and tasks:
  • Follow up on the project implementation process in NWS.
  • Follow up on daily implementation plans as well as renewed plans.
  • Follow-up phases of project implementation in accordance with suggestions and recommendations.
  • Managing the whole process, identifying, and resolving constraints.
  • Dealing with various data collection tools, data analysis, and highlighting the results.
  • Preparing and reviewing the databases and ensuring that they are prepared correctly.
  • Preparing high-quality reports weekly / monthly
  • Supervising the project’s Case management & PSS teams.
  • Well-organized archiving of documents related to the project.
  • Track the progress of the project activities and ensure the collection of project indicators on a regular basis.
  • Ensure timely and quality reporting of the project’s progress to the partner/donors.
  • Manage the expenses of the projects and use the resources and utilize the resource based on cost proficiency and both internal and donor requirements and manage the forecasting of the budget on a regular basis in close coordination with the finance team.
  • Coordinate closely with the other support departments; MEAL, Media, Logistics, and Safety and Security to organize and track the related operations.
  • Develop and raise the required procurement requests and follow up on the contract process related to the project’s activities.
  • Ensure that feedback received from community members, project participants, and key stakeholders is well undertaken and addressed.
  • Ensure that gender, protection, and safeguarding are integrated into program design and implementation.
  • Respect and apply all the PSEA and child protection principles and show high commitment to report any PSEA & CP action.
  • Required Qualifications (Education/Languages/Work Experience):
  1. Essential:

    • Bachelor Degree in management or any other similar field.
    • Arabic language: Fluent.
    • English language: Very Good.
  2. Work Experience:

– At least 3 years of experience with international or local NGOs, especially in the field of protection.

– At least 3 years previous experience in supervising and managing teams and implementing projects inside Syria.

– Possess the skill of dealing with the work team effectively and positively.

– Experience in dealing with people with disabilities.

– The ability to build positive relationships with others and deal effectively and diplomatically with everyone.

– The ability to work in a complex environment and the ability to handle work pressure and deal with difficult situations rationally.
