Here at settle we are looking for two inspectors to join our property team. Taking ownership of your area you will liaise and visit residents to inspect, providing guidance, specifying and prioritising works, where required in relation to repairs.

Requirements

Outline of Key Responsibilities…

  • Accurately undertaking inspections across all settle owned properties, internally, externally and common areas, critically keeping IT systems upto date.
  • Working with service controllers to ensure works are classified and raised based on defined priorities
  • Oversee works, liasing with contractors (internal or external) ensuring adherence to health and safety, time and cost processes
  • Have a strong understanding of building components and potentially a trade background
  • Be familiar with the Decent Homes standard guidelines.

We are looking for someone who has…

  • Experience in working in a similar role identifying and diagnosing repairs and works required within housing.
  • HHSRS practitioners course certification
  • A competent and confident IT user who can navigate online systems and who is familiar with data capture devices.
  • A good understanding of building elements and why they fail.
  • A solid understanding of why damp, mould and condensation occur, and solutions required to remedy them
  • Exceptional customer services skills.
  • Excellent health and safety knowledge would be beneficial
  • Hold trade qualifications and/or certification in relation to damp identification/rectification would be beneficial
