Job Purpose
To ensure the continuous follow-up of the work, assignments, operational plans, projects, and programs, as well as accountability for the failure to achieve the efficiency and effectiveness of these works in the Civil Defence in Syria .To ensure the continuous follow-up of the work, assignments, operational plans, projects, and programs, as well as accountability for the failure to achieve the efficiency and effectiveness of these works in the Civil Defence in Syria.
Responsibilities
- Prepares the necessary plans for the department and follows up their implementation and submits periodic reports on the progress of work.
- Cooperating with the competent authorities inside / outside the SCD
- Suggests development the capacity building programs for employees in the department.
- Studying agreements and reflecting them in the form of operational plans
- Follow up on donor requirements of reports, standards, and commitments.
- Follows up on the department’s work outputs and is considered the focal point of contact between the donor and the field regarding the department’s work
- Planning and direct supervision of the implementation of the needs assessment and accountability processes, such as the processes of measuring stakeholder satisfaction and complaints, and ensuring the implementation of the plan
- Designing the necessary tools to collect data and training the team on it
- It studies the challenges of the implementation and makes recommendations thereon.
- Examines complaints from the local community and civil defence volunteers.
Note: the above-mentioned responsibilities are illustrative ones. Another future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart or title.
Qualification (Education/Work Experience)
- Essential:
- University degree
- At least 3 years of experience in the MEAL or related work in humanitarian sector (NGOs/INGOs)
- Native Arabic (Speaking and writing), Upper Intermediate level in English.
- Desirable:
- Master degree
- At least 5 years of experience in the MEAL or related work in humanitarian sector (NGOs/INGOs)
- Fluent level in English Language.
- Possibility to visit Syria periodically.
