CARE International in Jordan has a vacancy for the post of ” Program Coordinator“

The Program Coordinator will support the Cash & Basic Needs Program Manager on the implementation of cash interventions. S/he will oversee program cash support processes (e.g., distribtuion of conditional and mulit-purpose cash), provide oversight of home and school visits, coordinate internal referals, and act as the point of contact for program implementing partners and vendors. The Program Coordinator will ensure the implementation of activities meet CARE minimum standards and are in line with key guidelines including the IASC guidelines on mental health and psychosocial support in emergency settings.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY 1: Staff Support

– Support Project Officers achieve intervention timelines and goals.

– Work with colleagues monitor and support the execusion of established workplans.

– Ensure that the team obtains the necessary logistical and technical assistance.

– Assist the Cash and Basic Needs Program Manager in creating and improving implementation tools (such SOPs, monitoring formats, and evaluations) and innovations based on CARE’s international standards.

– Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work practices are in place, understood, and followed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY 2: Program Reporting and Knowledge Management

– Reporting on program and project activities in both English and Arabic, including data extraction, methodological descriptions, and success stories.

– Oversees and coordinates activity reporting processes (case notes and reports, meeting notes, project visit reports, activities report, photos and so on)

– Ensure team members follows project record policies including entering participant information into the Compas database.

– Conduct spot check on files and cash registers as well as field visits to monitor the execution of all plans.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY 3: Program Budget

– Coordinate with the Project Management Office on the workplan and budgets.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY 4: Coordination and Representation

– Represent CARE Jordan in working groups monthly meeting when necessary.

– Coordinate with partners, stakeholders aligned with the program goals and workplan.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY 5: Other

– Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelors degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, Business Administration or combination of relevant Education and Experience

Desired: Masters degree in relevant fields.

Experience/Technical Skills / Required :

Experience : 3-5 years of experience in a similar management role in humanitarian aid context; Managerial Know How; Involves integrating and harmonizing requirements of diverse functions in operating, support, and administrative situations. It may be exercised through consultation as well as direct action; Management requires a combination of planning, organizing, controlling, and reviewing along with direct and indirect execution. Choose one of the following: Task; Minimal; Related; Diverse; Broad. This position requires (Diverse) managerial know-how.

Technical skills: Supervisory skill; Project planning and budgeting and staff planning and supervision; Good communication (with colleagues and external partners); Report writing skills in good English;Familiarity/training in participatory extension approach; Firm belief in teamwork, gender equality, conceptual understanding of participatory approach and sustainable development Computer proficiency; Human relations skills; Consists of active practicing skills in the area of human relationships. In the work context Human Relations Skills include all capabilities that are needed to interact on a direct person-to-person basis, and through varied approaches build understanding of, acceptance of, or commitment to, courses of action that are important for the organization. These skills may be applied in relation to peers, subordinates or peers within the organization, or to people outside the organization.
