FUNCTION OF DEPARTMENT
Deliver effective and efficient programmes and services to our clients, through Programme Management, Fund Management and Business Improvement. Contribute to Crown Agents’ success by delivering impact, profitable results, managing risk and contributing to growth.
MAIN JOB PURPOSE
- Provide management support to the UK PACT (Lot 3) Project establishing the position as a knowledgeable programme manager and trusted advisor for internal and external clients.
- Assist BAU mobilisation team activities in project downtime.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB
Manage
- Manage projects to a high standard ensuring:
- Contracted budgets are not exceeded
- Deliverables are produced on time and to the highest quality
- Risks are mitigated and managed
- Client and partner relationships are managed
- Suppliers and contractors are paid, working with the project accountant
- Timely invoices are presented to the client in line with contractual terms, working with the project accountant
- Appropriate monitoring and lesson learning mechanisms are put in place
- Post-contract issues are resolved as appropriate
- Adhere to programme and fund management procedure and processes within CA
- Develop and manage relationships with senior clients and their teams within and outside the organisation
- Manage staff members if required
Deliver under UK PACT
- Working collaboratively with BEIS and the UK Embassy network to manage the logistics and understand the scope of skill-shares.
- Supporting the Programme with regular operational reporting, performance analysis and data management to support programme management. This includes managing and updating the Learning Platform, Roster Management Database and Recruitment and Vetting trackers
- Creating new content for the UK PACT website and maintaining the Skill-shares and Secondments page.
- Managing monthly expert timecards and invoices and logging all programme expenses in the Finance Tracker.
- Reporting on the monitoring, evaluation and learning activities for the wider programme and across each skill-share.
- Bringing creative solutions to enhance the delivery of the managed service.

- Be willing to occasionally work evenings and weekends when staff need urgent deployment

Requirements
- 2-3 years work experience who is interested in a career in climate change and sustainability
- Confident with data management, analysis and manipulation for reporting purposes
- Able to work independently in a small team and take on workload responsibilities
- Strong Excel skills (ability to manipulate data into information)
- Knowledge or interest of the climate change, international development, sustainability and low carbon sectors
- Enthusiastic team player willing to ask questions, work collaboratively and be part of a hard-working and dedicated team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with both colleagues and clients at all levels
- Exceptional organisation, prioritisation and time management skills with the ability to respond swiftly to different demands from both management and the client.
