Project Title: Improving livelihood and resilience of organic cocoa producers in Sierra Leone
Duration: One Year with possible contract extension.
Project Location: Kono District
Staff Location: Kono District
Reporting: This position reports to the Programme Team Leader – Cocoa (Ghana & Sierra Leone)

- Monthly reports of activities implemented
- Quarterly reports of activities implemented
- Update of project activities
- Complete monthly time sheets etc.
- QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Economics, Geography or related field.
Experience
- At least three years’ experience in project management (desirable).
- Knowledge in project monitoringand evaluation.
- Experience in working with cocoa farmer cooperatives and Internal Control System.
- Knowledge on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) practices in the Cocoa sector.
- Proven track record and understanding of the cocoa sector in Sierra Leone.
- Experience in the implementation of the HREDD steps.
- Experience Fairtrade Standards for producers and Traders and traceability
- Have a very good understanding of the European Union Regulation (EUDR and Organic Regulation) and its impact on Producers
- Experience in data collection and analysis.
- Experience in grant management and compliance with partners.
- Understanding of the NGO sector, working with donors and related HR and legal requirements.
- Experience of delivering training to a range of audiences
- Knowledge and understanding of Fairtrade standards and experience in supporting Cooperatives to implement the Fairtrade standards.
- Knowledge and understanding of FTA’s priority areas and strategic pillars.
- Understanding of the ways of working and principles of farmer cooperative.

- RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project management, monitoring and evaluation
- Support in project baseline and endline data collection.
- Support farmer cooperatives with GPS mapping/geolocation of farm and polygon mapping.
- Provide capacity building to farmers on Human Rights and Environmental Due Diligence (HREDD).
- Drive gender youth activities within the project.
- Undertake regular visit to the field to monitor project activities.
- Conduct farmer trainings and facilitate workshops.
- Fully engaged with project activities (100% time).
- Develop action plan for project activities.
- Support cooperative with traceability
- Support cooperative in developing human rights and environmental policies.
- Conduct risk assessment within the project
