EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• At least three to five years of coordination experience in the field of ECD, Inclusive Education and/or Protection of vulnerable groups in Government or with international organizations.
• Knowledge of child focussed programming.
• Knowledge of gender and human rights issues.
• Knowledge of Inclusive Education or Special Needs Education.
• Knowledge of Child protection practices including Psycho-social support.
• Strong negotiation skills, preferably in advocacy.
• Skills in community mobilization, especially involvement of parents in supporting learning for their children.
• Creativity and ability to work independently and remain productive under minimal supervision.
• Experience working with Non-governmental organizations and government officials essential.
• At least five years’ experience of implementing donor funded contracts.
• Strong computer skills: must be competent in the use of Windows, MS office programs (Word, Excel), and email programs.
• Good financial management skills.
• Excellent facilitation and training skills.
• Honest, reliable and a good work ethic.
• Good understanding of international standards and guidance around Inclusive Education.
• Ability to interact skilfully and diplomatically with numerous counterparts.
