These are your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, international development, or related field.
  • Professional experience of five (5) years in national or international NGOs, working in human rights with preference in inclusion and disabilities.
  • Proven proposal writing skills in English for donors as USAID and EU (mandatory).
  • Experience in developing and managing large scale institutionally funded projects (USAID and EU mandatory). Experience of managing complex consortium an advantage.
  • Proven experience in results-based management and project cycle management, including assessment, monitoring and evaluation, with a sound understanding of log frames and budgets. Project finance experience advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing internal and external relationships and partnerships particularly with government and delegations.
  • Experience of developing rights-based programmes and working with marginalised and organization of people with disabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills and teamwork.
  • Spanish (Compulsory) / English (Professional Proficiency, strong written and conversational skills)
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Identification with the Christian values and mandate of CBM.

These are your responsibilities

  • Provide programmatic leadership in the development and implementation of the CBM project portfolio, aligned with the organizational strategy.
  • Lead, guide and coordinate joint project and/or multi-year planning processes with partners, CBM Initiatives/technical teams and fundraising departments, ensuring the quality and sustainability of results in line with CBM and donor requirements.
  • Ensure high quality of project and programme plans with effective delivery and fulfilment of objectives, utilisation of budgets as well as compliance with human rights standards ethnic and gender perspective/balance.
  • Proficient in writing exceptional proposals in English for esteemed donors such as USAID and the EU, employing relevant formats, log frames, and Smart indicators.
  • Demonstrated expertise in utilizing monitoring, evaluation, and learning methodologies to consistently assess the progress of implementing CBM and projects funded by institutional donors such as USAID, EU, and others. Proficient in extracting and disseminating valuable lessons learned, and adept at applying adaptive management principles for improved project outcomes.
  • Support the Programme Representative in maintaining strong partnerships and diversifying partnerships, alliances, and collaborations.
  • Organize and conduct initial and regularly updated organizational capacity assessments and/or partnership reviews, jointly develop plans to address capacity gaps, identify solutions, monitor implementation, and document learning.
  • Manage engagement with national alliances, partners and Organizations for Persons with Disabilities to define and support national advocacy priorities.
  • Support the Central America team in organizing institutional events in the country, regional workshops conferences or high-level meetings and annual learning events with partners.
  • Work with partners to gather and share frequent and updated quality project information and content to support CBM’s internal and external communication enabling fundraising departments to demonstrate impact in their donor communication with success stories from the field.

With contractual conditions of the respective country. An expatriation is not intended.
