ROLE PURPOSE:

The post is responsible in providing technical and administrative support to Project Coordinator in caring out the implementation of Advancing Adolescent’s Voice for Violence-Free, Inclusive and Safer Family and Community Environment in Samar and Leyte (ADDvoice) through mobilization of CSO partner, Community Support Group, Very Young Adolescents and Youth in the target Barangays with close coordination with the Department of Health, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Justice and Human Rights Commission, the Provincial government of Samar and Leyte and the of eight local government units of: Gandara, San Jorge, Matuguinao, and Pagsanghan Samar, Javier, Mayorga, MacArthur and Abuyog, Leyte.

The Project focus on empowering adolescent girls and encouraging their participation in their governance, and on supporting SRHR and addressing sexual violence against children aligns with the aim of the EU Gender Action Plan III country level implementation plan for the Philippines 2021-2025, of “contributing to empowering women, girls and young people to fully use their rights and increase their participation…,” and specifically with the following areas of engagement: ensuring freedom from all forms of gender-based violence (and access to justice), promoting sexual and reproductive health rights, and promoting equal participation and leadership.

This post requires comprehensive knowledge of children’s rights community organizing, training and workshop management designing and implementing capacity-building and group activities; and basic skills in program management, partnership management and budget management. Strong oral and written communication skills are required for this post.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A graduate of Bachelor’s degree medical related such Nursing and Public Health or social sciences such, sociology, psychology, economics, management or community development. Licensed Social Worker or Nurse is an advantage
  • At least 2-year work experience on technical health and social work program.
  • Experience in working with the local government units, national government agencies, People’s Organizations and civil society organizations
  • With positive leadership skills and strong capacity building / training skills
  • With strong oral and written communication skills
  • Keen on details, can handle multiple tasks and can work with minimum supervision
  • Results oriented with a high sense of urgency
  • A team player with a well-developed work ethic
  • High degree of interpersonal skills. The post-holder should have the ability to relate and communicate effectively with the program partners to ensure that compliance issues are addressed and that working relationships are properly managed.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation
  • Willing to do field work in areas assigned
  • Computer literate and adept in the use of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Highly organized, with good attention to detail and developed ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines and organize work
  • Can work well in highly stressful situations

The job holder should develop a strong understanding of Save the Children’s vision and mission and should be committed to its principles and objectives. He/she should be willing to adopt the Save the Children methodology and framework in program implementation; and abide by and implement Save the Children Philippines Policies including the Child Safeguarding Policy.
