We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager – Children and Young People to join our established and friendly Programmes Team

Your role will be an agile position meaning you can work flexibly between 2 days at a fixed base in Albert Embarkment, London and from home. You will work full time, 35 hours per week on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2023 with a salary of £29,485.09 to £32,025.17 per annum or £32,131.20 to £34,671.28 pa inclusive of London Weighting. This role will be supporting the Head of Programmes to deliver strategic programmes of work across the Policy and Practice department with a focus on Children and Young People, as well ensuring that programme team has the tools needed to meet project milestones, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support the smooth running and delivery of project activity.

We have a strong, established strategic co-production and involvement practice, with additional expertise in community engagement, organising and listening. We facilitate the co-production of specific strategies for each area, programme or service context we work in. Our overall approach is to support and train experts by experience to facilitate the gathering of lived experience insights from a diverse range of people, and then the representation of these in strategic influence of service development and evaluation, and quality improvement.

What you will be responsible for?

As a Programme Manager You Will

work with the Head of Programmes and the programme team to deliver strategic programmes of work across the Policy and Practice with a lead of Children and Young People

have experience of project management, creation and implementation of project systems, documentation, complex schedules and processes

support the Programmes Team ensuring they have the support and tools needed to meet project milestones

work with the Head of Programmes to monitor and evaluate programme activity, and to report on progress and learning and resolve issues as they arise

lead submission of bids, tenders and funding proposals

work with experts by experience to understand, from their communities, what the needs and issues are, gather insight, analyse it and share key themes with RMI area

identify opportunities for focus groups across all co-production projects within the wider team.

create systems and processes to create a framework for building and maintaining project activity

be a champion for ensuring representation, equality and diversity amongst experts by experience and identifying ways to increase representation.

engage with external and internal stakeholders and alongside experts by experience to understand the existing community mental health pathway, understand the needs and barriers, and identify opportunities

develop, engage key stakeholders and existing networks who will feed into a wider mental health network

Understanding of the health and social care system and service provision for people severely affected by mental illness.

Experience of co-producing initiatives with service users and experts

Experience of influencing public policy.

Experience of working for a charitable or campaigning organisation or of working with people affected by mental illness
