At Relief Applications you will join a multinational team, where you will be part of the innovation task force, imagining and creating cutting edge solutions to change how we help those affected by disasters. Working as PROJECT MANAGER – BUSINESS ANALYST, part of the Humanitarian Consulting Team, you will take part in a full solution development lifecycle understanding partners needs and translating them into actionable data solutions. Relief Applications always develops several projects simultaneously which requires the ability to adapt to new skills & tools quickly.

We are looking for a highly agile profile with a taste for multi-tasking. This position requires to look after many small projects at the same time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Management of Relief Applications project in coordination with the technical leads of each project
  • Business Development: Proposal writing, client network development
  • Client relation : scrum meetings, operational planification, contract discussions, contract deliverables follow up, management of maintenance contracts for different partners
  • WHO: Business Analysis for WHO projects including technical requirements definition ; Test the integration of different features into WHO projects to ensure they function correctly together as a whole and meet the original business requirements
  • OORT: Contribute to enhancement and implementation of data collection and data analysis tools developed by Relief Applications (example: OORT – https://www.oortcloud.tech/)
  • IM / MEAL: Assess and analyse partners-client needs – pre-existing IM systems, tools and data sets, Set up solutions using different data collection, analysis and visualisation tools
  • Provide training to relevant partners-client – RA team member
  • HR : participate to hiring process for project and IM / MEAL team members, onboarding of new staff
  • Support the project lead with other tasks as and when needed

PROFILE REQUESTED

Education

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Analysis, Computer Science, GIS, Disaster Management or any other equivalent field

Skills

  • English required – French highly recommended
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and other project managers
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodology with a thorough understanding of Scrum and Kanban methodologies
  • Strong business Analysis skills with ability to analyse the business needs and translate them into actionable project requirements
  • Strong computer literacy skills with advanced skills in MS Excel and some Kanban tools.
  • Capacity to understand the basic of technical concepts and tools used for web applications development
  • Capacity to develop a training package or user guideline focusing on IT tools or steps – adapted to a various of audience type
  • Ability to implement complex and participatory projects
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision with drive and initiative

Experience

  • At least 5 years of working experience in the humanitarian sector
  • Working experience with Project management and Business Analysis in a multicultural environment
  • Experience with web development is a plus

Salary range

30k to 35k depending on experience
