General Description of the Programme:

SENED is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organization licensed and registered in Türkiye with the number 27-15-175. SENED Organization was established shortly after the Syrian Nakba and in response to the suffering of millions of Syrian refugees in Turkey as well as internally displaced people in Syria, to alleviate suffering, achieving justice, equality, and freedom, strengthening the role of civil society, and supporting and developing the local community. SENED works in the humanitarian work sectors to support, empower, and educate the community through several programs, takes exceptional care of people with disabilities and their families and defends their issues.

SENED Association emphasizes creating safe, accessible, and participation-encouraging living conditions for individuals’ emotional, intellectual, physical, and social development by focusing on people with disabilities. Beyond the medical perspective on disability, it tries to find solutions to the problems faced by disabled people with a holistic perspective by considering the disabled people, their families, and the society they live in, focusing on the conditions they experience. SENED Association aims to create a safe and supportive environment and space by conducting family-oriented activities to help disabled individuals and their families become stronger, discover their potential and stand by with their children. By collecting data on refugee-disabled people and identifying problems and needs, SENED strives to ensure harmony between disabled refugees and local people with a voluntary, professional team and a community-based approach. All activities, education, research, advocacy, etc., are carried out on platforms created by local and disabled refugee people.

Job purpose:

Under the management of the Protection Program Manager and in close link with the Partnership Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and supervision of a project aimed at strengthening Turkish CSOs in Hatay after the earthquake. The project is funded by the French Development Agency via Solidarités International and implemented by SENED. Regular travel to Gaziantep may be requested.

Duties, objectives, and competencies:

Core Technical Responsibilities

· Recruit, supervise, performance manage, motivate, and appraise the team members to deliver the project objectives of ensuring proper implementation of projects within the required cost, time, and quality and the highest impact to beneficiaries.

· Supervise the project team in planning and implementing multi-purpose cash assistance (MPCA), mapping, capacity building, and small grant support for local CSOs and grassroots organizations in Hatay.

· Prepare the project implementation plan, follow up the implementation with the field team and update the plan weekly.

· Supervise the implementation of projects and activities on a daily manner. This includes directing activities, avoiding mistakes, and receiving and submitting project reports.

· Prepare, develop and review the reports to be submitted to partners/donors. These could include daily, weekly, quarterly, progress and final reports.

· Conduct meetings with project team members to distribute daily, weekly and monthly tasks.

· Be fully responsible for meeting project targets and compliance requirements through activities, means of undertaking activities, and in all other documentation.

· Guide projects management approaches and standards and lead the team’s capacity development.

· Contribute to project strategies and to programme development.

· Participate as required in project kick-off, close-out, and review meetings. Ensure timely documentation and follow-up of action points.

· Follow-up with other departments in relation to projects activities.

· Prepare project proposals based on the field team’s technical and humanitarian needs assessment.

· Provide all necessary support to the project team and help resolve all issues and conflicts that may arise in the day-to-day operations.

· Support and promote the standards outlined in the Code of Conduct and associated policies to project team.

· Any other job-related tasks as assigned by supervisor/line manager.

Coordination

· Establish and maintain good relations with key stakeholders in the implementation area.

· Represent Sened and ensure effective participation in meetings and workshops with partners, donors, and other parties.

· Attending inter-agency coordination meetings and representing SENED in these meetings, especially in Hatay.

· Supporting the service mapping and keeping service map updated

· Manage communications, reporting and relationship development with the related clusters.

MEAL

· Supervise staff to record registered cases in the database in a timely manner and update information as necessary and ensure that progress is updated in the database, in coordination with MEAL department.

· Prepare and update project risk analysis monthly according to updated project database and project progression.

· Organize monthly/weekly/daily meetings, follow-up projects workplan/indicator and report the progression to Protection Program Manager.

Operation

· Follow up on the project agreement conditions.

· Ensure, with the finance department, that activities and expenses are regularly monitored and, as needed, action plans with follow-up are developed to correct any over- or underspending in a timely manner.

· Distribute tasks among the team for preparation of purchase/service requests according to needs and budget of project, and follow-up ongoing works, in coordination with Supply Chain Department.

· Participate in the offers opening, and procurement committee to evaluate the competing bids and help choose the winning bid.

Requirements: Essential

· Bachelor’s degree.

· Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in NGOs/INGOs.

· Advanced in English and Turkish.

· Advanced computer skill, especially on MS Office programs.

Requirements (desired)

· Bachelor’s degree in social/political science or related field.

· Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in NGOs/INGOs as project manager or coordinator.

· Advanced in Arabic.

Technical Competencies:

· Advanced knowledge in project management

· Advanced knowledge in report writing.

· Advanced knowledge in partnership building.

· Advanced knowledge in project development

· Basic knowledge in budget management.

· Advanced knowledge in Excel & Word
