Project Management Intern

Midrex’s 2023 Summer Internship Program offers an immersive assignment to undergraduate students, enhancing their understanding of the business world through valuable, hands-on experience with a people centric organization. Midrex offers a 20 to 40 hour per week, paid internship that begins with an orientation in June and concludes in early August.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The internship will consist of a project-based assignment to broaden learning, experience, organizational knowledge and business acumen. Potential Areas of Learning:

• Project Management Assist with leading multi-disciplined project team through the various project life cycles including basic engineering, detailed engineering, procurement & logistics, and possibly some assistance with construction oversight.
• Cost Management Understanding project cost estimating, cost management and risk management
• Scheduling Understanding the project lifecycle and daily demands involving multiple disciplines to ensure timely completion of deliverables

Skills/Abilities:
Required:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (specifically Excel)
• Ability to learn new technology, software and tools
• Strong interpersonal skills and written/oral communication skills

Education and Experience:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Management or related field
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
