DAI Global Austria is the lead partner of international consortiums that currently implements the EU-funded Technical Assistance Projects in Turkey. For this purpose, we are seeking qualified, experienced, and dedicated individuals to join our project team in Ankara/Turkey.

Project & Language Assistant

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining office accounts under the supervision of the Team Leader and ensure first-level administrative control of the project’s expenses and support preparation of monthly financial and admin reports are checked and approved by the TL and submitted in a timely manner to the Project Director at DAI,
  • Assist and ensure smooth coordination and communication between the Project Office, Beneficiary Institution, Contracting Authority, and EU Delegation to Turkey,
  • Assist and ensure smooth coordination and communication between Key Experts, Corporate staff, and the Project Director.
  • Assist to maintain the project filing system, records, and data sheets.
  • Assist with the preparation, editing, proofreading, and formatting of meeting minutes, presentations, project reports, and correspondence.
  • Assist in ensuring the timely delivery of the project outputs.
  • Assist to draft and post social media and web content where necessary.
  • Assist to maintain project activity calendars, schedules, and appointments.
  • Assist with the Interpretation and Translation of written documents (minutes, reports, etc.) of the project,
  • Assist with Interpretation and Translation during the meetings where necessary,
  • Assist with the logistics associated with the organization of training programs, study visits, workshops, conferences, etc.,
  • Liaise with the project and corporate staff to ensure a productive and effective work environment,
  • The successful candidate should be willing to undertake travel when necessary (sometimes at short notice to provide administrative support to project activities and meetings).

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Social Sciences,
  • Previous work experience in EU technical assistance projects and in an office environment with international experts is a must,
  • Good translation/interpretation skills are a must,
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills both in Turkish and English (Turkish is a must as the ability to implement a translation/interpreting role is essential),
  • Previous work experience in administrative support including skills in basic financial administration will be an asset,
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work with deadlines and effectively with colleagues in a team environment,
  • Good computing skills (MS Office Suite).

Professional experience:

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in EU technical assistance projects.

Duration of assignment:

This is a full-time post with a duration of 12 Months.
