About SENED

SENED is an independent non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 2013 and registered in Turkey with the number 27-15-175. SENED was established by a group of humanitarian and social activists in responding to the Syrians suffer since 2011. SENED has become specialized in working with and supporting people with special needs since 2015 due to the realization of the tremendous tragedy that people with special needs live in Syria through periodic visits to their places.

Job Responsibilities

To assist in the implementation of all assigned projects in Turkey and ensure their execution within time, budget and quality.

Key Activities/Tasks/Duties

  • Participate as required in project kick-off, close-out and review meetings. Ensure documentation and follow up of action points in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with beneficiaries and project stakeholders.
  • Visit the beneficiaries’ locations and prepare visit reports.
  • Follow-up on the implementation of required activities on a daily manner. This includes directing activities, avoiding mistakes, and receiving and submitting projects reports.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the other project team members and follow up the implementation of activities with them.
  • Prepare weekly implementation work plans and follow up the implementation with the field team.
  • Participate in the offers opening, and procurement committee to evaluate the competing bids and help choose the winning bid.
  • Follow up on the project agreement conditions.
  • Be fully responsible for meeting donor targets and compliance requirements through activities, means of undertaking activities, and in all other documentations.
  • Ensure, with the finance department, that activities and expenses are regularly monitored and, as needed, action plans with follow-up are developed to correct any over- or underspending in a timely manner.
  • Represent Sened organization and the programs department and ensure effective participation in meetings and workshops with partners, donors, and other parties.
  • Manage communications, reporting and relationship development with the related clusters.
  • Submit a handover report at the end of your contract.
  • Any other job-related tasks as assigned by supervisor/line manager.

Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities /accountability may be assigned to the job depending on the department organizational chart.

Required Qualifications (Education/Languages/Work Experience):

Essential

  • Bachelor Degree.
  • Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in a similar position.

Desirable

  • Certified PMD Pro1 & PMD Pro 2.
  • Excellent skills in the English language.
  • Excellent skills in the Turkish language.
  • Verified experience in humanitarian work and principles.
  • Verified experience in dealing with donor’s policies, procedures, requirements and compliance.
