Vacancy details:

Job title: Project Coordinator

Program/ Project/ Department: EU Project

Positions available: 1 vacancy.

Duration of the contract: 1 year

Roles and Responsibilities:

Coordination and Representation:

  • Update project meeting agendas and organize project meeting minutes files.
  • Support the project manager in creating meeting agenda.
  • Represent SCM in coordination meetings with project partners.

Project implementation:

  • Assist the project manager in overseeing the implementation of 8 sub-grantee projects.
  • Ensure that partners’ implementation timeframe aligns with proposed work plans
  • Support in implementing mutual activities led by SCM in collaboration with project partners.

Project Planning:

  • Identify all administrative and logistical needs relevant to the implementation of each activity.
  • Assist the project manager in building a bi-annual work plan.

Reporting:

  • Aid the project manager in finalizing donor reporting requirements.
  • Draft internal monthly reports and collaborate with the project grants officer on any internal reporting inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the M&E team to identify any MEAL needs and ensure data tracking tools are up to date.
  • Support the grants officer in overseeing project partner deliverables (quarterly and annual.)reports
  • Ensure, with the grants officer, that partners’ projects are implemented in line with policies.

Administration:

  • Update the payment tracker.
  • Collaborate with the operational team to address all project administrative needs.
  • Initiate logistical requests.
  • Act as the focal point, with the support of the logistical team, for all travel-related tasks, including organizing flights, accommodation, and conference halls.
  • Archive EU project-related files and documents in a safe and proper manner.

Requirement, Skills, and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in project implementation within humanitarian/development domains.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project cycle management.
  • Past experience in managing sub-guarantees is a plus.
  • Familiarity with psycho-social support and protection programming, demonstrating a strong commitment to the “Do No Harm” principle.
  • Ability to identify gaps related to protection and code of conduct policies.
  • Previous experience in capacity building with a demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge effectively.
  • Fluency in Arabic language, knowledge of English.
