DRS is currently seeking a Project Coordinator for a project that aims to stimulate the development of a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem, leading to sustainable economic growth, reduced unemployment, and improved income levels for youth, women, and disadvantaged groups.

Title: Project Coordinator

Location: Hybrid – Yerevan, Armenia

Start date: As soon as possible

Contract duration: 3 years (January 2024 to December 2026), with the possibility of extension

Travel: Sporadic travel is required (in Eastern Partnership countries)

Key Functions:

  1. Project Implementation Oversight:

    • Lead the overall planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities in line with the project’s objectives;
    • Coordinate closely with project partners for seamless execution;
    • Ensure alignment of project initiatives with the identified entry points: Supply of capital, Access to finance, Ecosystem development, and Regulatory Framework Development.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:

    • Support project partners in engagement and relationship building with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, financial institutions, business support organizations, and international partners;
    • Facilitate collaborations, workshops, and training sessions to strengthen local capacities and foster collaboration among stakeholders.
  3. Research and Analysis:

    • Support project partners during the Market Systems Analysis implementation aiming to validate constraints, identify bottlenecks, and strategize interventions related to capital supply, finance access, and ecosystem development;
    • Assist project partners in the identification of needs for a conducive regulatory environment supporting entrepreneurial initiatives.
  4. Impact Assessment and Reporting:

    • Develop and maintain a results framework, overseeing the collection of data and metrics for impact assessment;
    • Develop reports, evaluating project progress, impact, and areas for improvement, ensuring alignment with the project’s objectives and targets.
  5. Capacity Building and Advocacy:

    • Coordinate capacity-building activities for local organizations, focusing on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, investment readiness, and business development services;
    • Support project partners on advocacy efforts to create an enabling environment for innovation and investment, collaborating with local market actors and government agencies.
  6. Partnership Management:

    • Manage relationships with project partners, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and alignment of goals and activities;
  • Identify potential new partnerships or opportunities that complement the project’s objectives and contribute to its success.

Requirements:

  • Armenia-based professional with extensive experience in program implementation, preferably in the field of entrepreneurship, economic development, or similar sectors;
  • Familiarity with Market Systems Development (MSD) approach and demonstrated experience in implementing projects using this approach;
  • Expertise in program coordination in Armenia with a focus on stimulating risk capital, enhancing access to finance, and fostering entrepreneurial ecosystems;
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Armenia’s entrepreneurial landscape, including challenges faced by local SMEs, regulatory frameworks, and market dynamics;
  • Experience in conducting research, analysis, and utilizing data for strategic decision-making and intervention planning;
  • **Degree in Economics, Business Management, Administration, or a related field -**understanding economic principles, business strategies, and financial concepts essential for guiding and implementing entrepreneurial development programs;
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders including government agencies, NGOs, financial institutions, and international partners;
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in preparing detailed reports, proposals, and project documentation;
  • Willingness to travel within Eastern Partnership countries as required by project activities.
