ROLE PURPOSE

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the delivery of quality programming and provision of technical support in the implementation of the Nurture First 1000 Days Project for Samar aims to ensure that all girls and boys age 0 – 59 months old are healthy and receive proper care and feeding through Out-patient Therapeutic Care (OTC), Positive Deviance (PD)/Hearth and Infant Young and Child Feeding (IYCF) in the three Local government Units in Samar namely: Villareal, Calbiga and Jiabong and key stakeholders. He/ she will engage in regular coordination and consultation with Health and Nutrition Advisor and Project Coordinators in various project in Visayas program office in particular to the CSSP Parenting Program for the integration of Nutrition indicators to 4Ps families; provide technical inputs during planning, implementation, and completion of the project; monitor the implementation and progress of project activities; and ensure timely completion of deliverables based on Save the Children’s tools and standards. Report directly to the Head of Office Tacloban.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential

* Experience on health and Nutrition program including monitoring and evaluation
* Experience in conducting research study and assessments
* University degree in Health/ Public Health/ Nutrition or equivalent
* At least two years of work experience in program administration or other related fields; work experience in the development setting (NGO) is a plus
* Demonstrated competencies in community mobilization, coordination and partnership preferably in assigned project area with experience on Child Rights-based and Health and Nutrition project/ program implementation
* Proven capacity on time and resource management, leadership and teamwork
* Demonstrable ability in report writing
* Excellent oral and communication skills and a willingness to be respectful, kind, sensitive and empathize with all beneficiaries and their significant caregivers
* Understanding of Save the Children’s urban programming on child health and nutrition
* Familiarity with Save the Children’s administrative and logistical management system

Desirable
* Qualified nurse with primary health care/ community health care experience
