As a Project Controls Manager, you will develop and maintain the project’s cost estimate and schedule, regularly presenting this data to senior management. You will also support the planning processes, implement monitoring systems, identify, and address delays and risks, and provide guidance to other teams in control activities. You will work closely with the other members of the project team, including the Project Director, as well as Procurement Manager and CTO.Develop project budgets, cost estimates and financial forecasts along with realistic plan and schedule, validated with industry benchmarks to ensure project competitiveness;Monitor, review, and present financial data of the project on a regular basis to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities, in coordination with senior management, Project Director and Procurement Manager – particularly on deviations along the critical path, including lead time for critical procurement items;Support ongoing planning definition process, specifically through establishing milestone targets, effective deadline management and resource allocations;Develop and implement systems, controls, and processes to monitor key pre-defined metrics;Identify implications of delays in sub-functions to overall project schedule and budget, monitoring potential risks and developing risk mitigation strategies;Provide leadership, oversight, subject matter advice, and guidance to the Projects and Construction teams for controls activitiesRequirementsBSc in Engineering, Finance, or related field;10+ years of experience in project controls and financial analysis, as well as setting up and monitoring complex project schedules in the chemical/ petrochemical industry;Knowledge of risk management procedures, tools, and sustainability practices within the chemicals industry;Comprehensive understanding of project controls processes, regulations, and best practices, including financial analysis and data interpretation;Detail-oriented mindset to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;Collaborative mindset to work closely with several stakeholders, and enthusiastic team player;Proficient in spoken and written English, proficiency in Portuguese a distinct advantageBenefitsWe are a merit-based organization, recognizing impact and results of our teams.As a full-time employee, you will get a competitive pay and a broad benefits program.
