Business & Finance Consulting (www.bfconsulting.com), a Swiss management consulting firm working in development finance, invites applications for a Project Assistant based in Amman, Jordan.
We are looking for a self-motivated and reliable team-member, who will support the implementation of our technical
assistance and capacity building project in Jordan, focused on SMEs1 promotion and financing.
Type: Full-time
Duty station: Amman, Jordan (with occasional travel in Jordan)
Overview: The Project Assistant will provide administrative and operational assistance to the project team, supporting
the timely and efficient execution of all project activities and objectives. The Project Assistant will also oversee the
administrative aspects of local office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support local office operations and project implementation activities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support, including coordinating schedules, planning meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining project documentation
- Assist in coordinating project activities, organise working groups, and update project workplans
- Assist the project team in preparation and submission of reports
- Support logistics arrangements for project-related meetings and travel
· Support specific project work components:
- Support to conduct research on the SME sector in Jordan
- Assist the team in conducting diagnostics & assessments, reviewing reports & compliance checks
- Help prepare and organise workshops, training, and stakeholder meetings
- Assist in data collection & monitoring, and update various project documents & tools
Key Requirements:
- Academic degree preferably in economics, business, finance, investment, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project management, administration, or a related role, preferably in the development sector
- Experience in international development cooperation projects is a strong asset
- Excellent experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic
- Understanding of project management principles is a great advantage
- Understanding of SME promotion, finance, and/or investment strategies is desired
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, and good research skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally to different regions in Jordan for on-site support
- Ability to work with a high degree of integrity, accuracy, commitment, and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently, and as part of a team
- Ability to foster good relationships
- Self-motivated, proactive and reliable team-member
