General Description of the Programme:

SENED is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organization licensed and registered in Türkiye with the number 27-15-175. SENED Organization was established shortly after the Syrian Nakba and in response to the suffering of millions of Syrian refugees in Turkey as well as internally displaced people in Syria, with the aim of alleviating suffering, achieving justice, equality, and freedom, strengthening the role of civil society, and supporting and developing the local community. SENED works in the humanitarian work sectors to support, empower, and educate the community through several programs, and takes special care of people with disabilities and their families and defends their issues.

SENED Association emphasizes the need to create safe, accessible, and participation-encouraging living conditions for the emotional, intellectual, physical, and social development of individuals by focusing on the people with disabilities. Beyond the medical perspective on disability, it tries to find solutions to the problems faced by disabled people with a holistic perspective by considering the disabled people, their families, and the society they live in, focusing on the conditions they experience. SENED Association aims to create a safe and supportive environment and space by conducting family-oriented activities to help disabled individuals and their families to become stronger, discover their potential and stand by with their children. By collecting data on refugee disabled people, identifying problems and needs, SENED strives to ensure harmony between disabled refugees and local people with a voluntary, professional team and a community-based approach. In all activities, education, research, advocacy, etc. carried out on platforms created by local and disabled refugee people.

Job purpose:

To conduct and follow up on non-formal education, social cohesion, and protection activities, implement case management interventions for the cases of project beneficiaries, support updating service mapping, and make referrals.

Duties, objectives, and competencies:

· Plan, conduct, and follow up non-formal education, social cohesion, and protection activities in the Adana project centre,

· Plan and follow up on Turkish language training including teachers, classes, and beneficiaries with their attendance lists.

· Support case management activities through assessment, case planning, case implementation, follow up and case closure working closely with the case management team.

· Work with the team in the organization and externally to identify and register individual cases requiring protection intervention in the field and/or through community centre visits.

· Identify protection cases and case follow-up until case closure, as per CM SOP.

· Accompanying beneficiaries for referrals etc. if necessary

· Organize and attend the meeting with other organizations in Adana and represent Sened if needed.

· Supporting the service mapping and keeping the service map updated.

· Reporting and assisting Project Manager and Protection Manager with project reports.

· Support recording registered beneficiaries in the database in a timely manner and update information as necessary and ensure that progress is updated in the database,

· Ensuring accurate, timely, and secure data entry of all the beneficiaries.

Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities /accountability may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.

Requirements: Essential

  • Bachelor’s Degree in education, Psychology, or any other relevant field.
  • Fluent in Arabic language.
  • Intermediate skills in Turkish language.
  • Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in a similar position.

Requirements (desired)

  • Advanced skills in the English and/or Turkish languages.
  • Verified experience in humanitarian work and principles.

Technical Competencies:

  • Intermediate knowledge in the protection sector.
  • Intermediate knowledge in report writing
  • Advanced knowledge in the non-formal education sector.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel & Word
