About this Opportunity

As Project Advisor (National Society Development Learning) you’ll focus on bringing together International Federation of the Red Cross, International Committee of the Red Cross and British Red Cross representatives, and managing and coordinating consultants who will gather research, policy and learning to collate trends, evidence and case studies to supply Foreign, Commonwealth and Develop ment Office with a portfolio and suite of evidence that demonstrates the role of National Society Development as a critical modality for local humanitarian action.

You’ll ensure that there is consensus, compromise and alignment across the project Working Group in their approach for agreeing areas of research, project deadlines and consultant hires, whilst also aiming to ensure that any research provides its secondary purpose of being beneficial to National Societies

You’ll be required to lead on the development, agreement and continual oversight of the TOR for the cross-organisational Learning Project, creating milestones, deliverables and timeframes for the project, including specific Terms of Reference, risk analysis and critical pathways for each learning piece to ensure that key deliverables are met in accordance with the project aims and objectives.

You’ll undertake project / programme management, including planning, managing budge ts, risks and resources, as well as stakeholder management. Responsible for quality assurance through management and adaptation of the project cycle, ensuring that the primary and secondary focus of the research remains at the core of the project.

This role might be for you if…

• You have experience developing, implementing and managing projects / programme process and performance reporting, presenting information clearly and concisely
• You can demonstrate proven knowledge of programme management methodology and its application along with skills in project management, processes and controls including project planning, stakeholder engagement, resource allocation and team management
• You’re able to analyse both quantitative and qualitative data and interpret information to communicate to and persuade decision makers / different audiences, both written and verbal
• You have experience managing stakeholder relationships, negotiating solutions to complex problems and working with stakeholders from different organisations
• You can demonstrate meticulous attention to detail whilst operating under pressure, display excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills and are skilled at consensus building and managing organisational conflict
