Project Accountant

CMA Recruitment Group is working closely with a very well established, dynamic business based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, for the recruitment of a Project Accountant.

This is an exciting time to be joining an organisation that has a number of interesting initiatives that will make a significant impact on the local and surrounding areas.

What will the role involve?

• Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the budget monitoring of significant, large scale projects which are paramount to the organisation;
• Acting as Finance Business Partner to Business Unit heads in setting department budgets and long term forecasting;
• Performing financial appraisals and financial modeling;
• Using your excellent communication skills to present complex, financial information to non finance employees;
• Overseeing a team of 2 Assistant Accountants;

Suitable Candidate

• ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified (or equivalent) with a highly commercial mindset and strong management /project accounting experience;
• Possess previous experience of supervising a small team;
• Able to commit to the full duration of a 12 month, fixed term contract as a permanent opportunity will be available at the end of the contract.
