Plan International

  • For a fixed term of 2 years / full time (39 hours/ week)

Your tasks

  • Administrative, financial and content-related monitoring of the KfW-funded basic education project in Guinea

  • Planning, tracking and reporting of project activities in close cooperation with the national project managers and according to the internal guidelines of Plan International and the donors

  • Backstopping and capacity building for Plan International’s national project teams and their local partners in all aspects of project activities, in particular to ensure compliance with donor guidelines

  • Collaboration in the areas of controlling, finance and reporting

  • Identifying and proposing solutions to obstacles in the workflow between involved actors

  • Communication within Plan International and between Plan International and donors, as well as visibility of project work and impact; maintaining donor relationships and building relationships with new actors where appropriate

  • Project-related knowledge management

  • Visits to project areas to support Plan International and its partners on the ground as well as partial accompaniment of donor visits

Your profile

  • Successfully completed university studies in a development-relevant subject

  • At least two years of practical work experience in development cooperation at home and abroad, especially in procurement (focus on West Africa)

  • Strong project management skills, especially management experience of development bank projects an advantage

  • Experience in proposal writing and policy-driven implementation of public funds as well as project management with national and international donors

  • Strong analytical skills, negotiation skills and assertiveness

  • Fluency in French and English (both written and spoken) is a must, German language skills are an asset

  • Thematic experience in a field of development cooperation relevant to Plan would be an advantage

  • Interested candidates must be in the possession of a valid work permit for the EU
