Project Overview and Role:

Palladium is recruiting a Programme Officer for a new programme focused on facilitating a targeted and flexible mechanism to provide capacity building, non-lethal equipment procurement, technical assistance and grant (financial) support to Civil Society Organisations in Ukraine.

The programme is expected to operate out of Poland. The position may require travel to Western Ukraine if the security situation should allow.
**
Responsibilities**
• Supporting contracting and due diligence processes for organisations.
• Operational support, which may include logistics (e.g. travel), safety and security briefings, compliance, safeguarding procedures, etc.
• Contribution to programme management functions (managing deliverables, processing expenses, budgeting, forecasting).
• Contribution to corporate and programme reporting, including progress, financial and risk reporting
• Ensuring compliance with both client and Palladium financial processes and systems.

Required Qualifications:Required expertise**
• Excellent written and spoken English and Polish
• Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team.
• Proven experience in project management or deployment / operations functions.
• Excellent attention to detail and confident managing a diverse range of operational tasks
• Experience in financial management and confident working with numbers (e.g. managing budgets, preparing forecasts, financial reporting)
• Interested in a career humanitarian logistics and operations **
Desired expertise**
The following will be considered an advantage:
• Experience of working on a donor-funded international development programme, especially a bilateral programme funded by the UK government.
• Demonstrable familiarity and experience with Polish requirements in the management of project contracting, grants and financial compliance.
• Ukrainian and Russian language skills
