About the job

As Programme Officer you are responsible for project cycle management of our partner organisations and any related activities, such as monitoring and evaluation initiatives and progress reporting. You will ensure that all activities in the country programme are carried out in accordance with working methods, strategies, policies and expected results of Kvinna till Kvinna, and in accordance with the partnership agreements.

You will also play a key part in supporting other program staff in program development and implementation of country program activities.

Your tasks will include, but not be limited to:

  • Support partner organizations throughout the project cycle and ensure clear and timely communication of important milestones, such as deadlines for applications and reporting deliverables; and provide problem-solving solutions in collaboration with partners where needed.
  • Support partner organisations in developing applications, including budgets and work plans, and in delivering reporting requirements
  • Development and maintenance of a yearly monitoring and evaluation plan for partner organisations;
  • Ensure close dialogue with partner organisations throughout the project cycle, conduct monitoring visits and follow-up on respective documentation;
  • Conduct regular organisational assessments of Kvinna till Kvinna partner organisations and of potential new partner organisations if needed;
  • Develop regular reports on programme implementation and current political developments in the country to donors, Country Director and any other stakeholders, as per need;
  • Providing continuous support to partner organisations, capacity building and organising experience exchanges, study trips and networking meetings to enhance quality programming and implementation, if required;
  • Develop policy and advocacy materials including talking points, briefing notes, position papers and advocacy reports.
  • Coordinate and cooperate with like-minded organisations, INGOs and donors active in the field of women’s rights, if required;
  • Representing Kvinna till Kvinna at official meetings and functions in the context of programme development and donor relations, if required;
  • Ensure that all documentation regarding the programme is updated and stored;
  • Conduct general administration and financial procedures in relation to the programme, including support in logistics of workshops and trainings, if required;
  • Manage and implement program related activities as planned during the program cycle ensuring alignment with objectives and adherence to established timelines

You will work closely with the Senior Program Officer and report to the Country Director.

About you

You need to at least have

  • Bachelor’s degree in human rights, gender, social sciences, media, or related discipline or 5 years relevant work experience
  • Minimum four years of professional experience crafting and delivering development or human rights projects. Previous experience in partnerships position(s) and/or MEAL is an added value.
  • In-depth experience in project cycle management and in planning, monitoring and evaluation;
  • Strong understanding of the political and development context in Lebanon and the region.
  • Experience in collaborating with local civil society organisations and coalitions, UN, INGOs, and donors.
  • Full proficiency in the following languages (spoken and written): English and Arabic.
