Objective of the position:
The selected candidate will need to contribute to ensure the supervision, realization, coordination and monitoring of the initiatives/activities of international cooperation with reference to the themes of Emergency, Disaster Risk Reduction, Peace Building, Institutional technical assistance in the countries under the competence of AICS Hanoi Office, with a specific focus on Myanmar.
The Programme Officer will need to have a good theoretical and practical experience in the management of cooperation initiatives in the sector of peace-building and state-building and more generally in the sector of Governance and Institutions Strengthening, other than Emergency and Risk Reduction.
Description of the position:
The Programme Officer, under the supervision of the Head of Office, will assist AICS Hanoi with the following tasks:

Collaboration for the identification, implementation and monitoring of humanitarian interventions, Peace Building/Institutional Support and Disaster Risk Reduction in the Far East region.

Participation to coordination meetings in the humanitarian sector, Disaster Risk Reduction, Peace Building and Institutional Support;
In relation to Myanmar:

Ensuring the correct Italian participation to the Joint Peace Fund initiative, coordinating with the Italian Embassy in Yangon. Participation to the Fund Board and Fund Board Working Group meetings and to the other meetings of the Fund members, contributing to the supervision of the institutional activities and of the projects approved by the Fund;

Participating to the coordination meetings in the humanitarian and peace sectors;

Collaboration with AICS Hanoi on the activities related to the Governance sector; to the Donors coordination in relation to the Cooperation Partners Group and the European Union;

Become a focal point within AICS Hanoi for the relations with Italian CSOs, supporting the organization of coordination meetings between AICS and the locally present Italian CSOs;

Other tasks that may become necessary during the employment period, to be carried out as mandated by the Head of Office of AICS Hanoi.
