The UK Humanitarian Innovation Hub is bringing together the humanitarian sector and UK expertise to develop innovative new approaches and technologies that put communities facing humanitarian crises at the forefront of relief and recovery efforts. We are looking for a Programme Officer who is highly motivated and ready to apply their skills and experience in an exciting humanitarian start-up.
The Programme Officer has a central role within the Hub, contributing to a range of programmatic and operational activities. You will be working closely with other team members and liaising with teams across Elrha, who host the Hub. The role will be involved in exploring innovation opportunities, grant management, communications and engagement activities, alongside support for the Hub’s operations, finance, and HR functions.
You will need to demonstrate:
- Experience of coordinating grant management processes or similar, including excellent administration and organisation skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of grantees and support external communication activities.
- Ability to understand and monitor financial expenditure reports
- An interest in building research experience.
- A resourceful, proactive approach with the ability to work in a constantly changing environment.
- A strong interest in humanitarian innovation and the impact it can have on those living in crises
The UK Humanitarian Innovation Hub is hosted by Elrha and is funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
