Tearfund Iraq is looking for a Programme Manager to join its team.
As Programme Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the effective design, assessment, resourcing and monitoring of the JISRA (Consortium) project in Iraq, including capacity building of our Iraqi partner. Based in Erbil, you will manage the Iraq portfolio including establishing pilot projects and expanding the partner portfolio.
The post holder will represent Tearfund towards the government officials and the international (donor) community on behalf of the Country Director.
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience working in the Iraq context
- Proven experience of working in a humanitarian and development context with institutional donors such as USAID, MOFAs, GIZ, Pooled Funds, GAC, etc
- Proven experience in community development and project management for advocacy/peacebuilding/conflict resolution projects
- Proven ability in capacity development of local partner organisations
- Proven ability build rapport and engage with churches and/or church-based organizations

The contract length is 1 year renewable based on funding and performance.
The recruitment process will include specific checks related to safeguarding. In addition, personal identification information will be submitted against a Watchlist database to check against criminal convictions as a counter-terror measure.
