What We’re Looking For

The Programme Manager with experience of maritime or engineering sectors will be responsible for the delivery of charitable activities across maritime and ocean economy and/or infrastructure sectors.

The role

  • Work both internally and externally to deliver grants and charitable activities that will achieve impact in the areas of the Foundation’s mission.
  • Work with partners in the relevant maritime or engineering sectors to support the application of the Foundation’s vision in those areas.
  • Aid in the development of proposals with support from the Foundation Directors as and when required.
  • Facilitate the end to end process of grant making, from idea to grant closure and impact
  • Identify opportunities that arise from grant and direct charitable activities and develop partnerships with other funders.
  • Work across the Foundation’s teams to deliver expertise and knowledge on funding programmes.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures

What You Bring

  • Relevant experience & understanding of engineering &/or maritime &/or ocean economy sectors, through either education, training or previous roles.
  • Experience of grant and/or project/programme management preferably within a research, charity or innovation environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, be highly organised, good attention to detail with excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrable experience of adhering to principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management and administration of programmes and project lifecycles
  • Able to demonstrate experience of &/or training in project, programme or portfolio management
  • Experience of working across international partnerships (desirable)
