Programme Funding Coordinator

We’re looking for a talented individual with a passion for programme funding to join our growing programme funding and operations team as a programme funding coordinator. We want to hear from candidates who can bring a creative and proactive approach to proposal writing, programme design, partnership building, and donor engagement as we strive to increase the scale, sustainability, and quality of our programmes across our five countries of operation. The programme funding coordinator will work to identify and create new opportunities for the organisation across a diverse network and ensure that our country programmes are supported to produce consistently high-quality proposals. The position is responsible for driving quality programming in our country programmes as well as increasing our reputation with donor agencies and within the wider international development community.

Place of Work: The role is open to hybrid working. The post holder can be based in the War Child UK London office, a Global War Child Head Office, or any War Child UK Programme Office.

Working Hours: Full-time is 37.5 hours. This role is open to flexible working including compressed hours and flexi-time.

Reports to: Senior Programme Funding Manager

Salary: Circa £36,000

Sitting within the wider Programmes & Advocacy unit, the programme funding coordinator is an integral member of the programme funding team and will be responsible for providing effective and efficient support to country programmes in project design, proposal development, and partnership engagement to secure strategic funding from large institutional donors. Underpinned by a new programme funding strategy, the role will provide proactive and creative support to donor engagement activities, while building relationships with a variety of partners to position War Child UK for strategic funding opportunities and consortia. Collaboration and communication will be a major asset, as the position will work with a variety of teams to capture best practice and key learnings from our programme portfolio as a foundation to develop new programmes and produce consistently high-quality proposals.
