HEKS/EPER

HEKS/EPER, Swiss Church Aid, supports projects designed to combat hunger, poverty and injustice in over 30 countries on four continents. HEKS/EPER also provides worldwide humanitarian assistance for victims of natural disasters and armed conflicts and supports the Church’s diaconal work in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. In Switzerland, HEKS/EPER champions the rights and causes of refugees and socially disadvantaged people. Through its development and social policy work in the fields of climate justice, access to land and food, migration, and integration, HEKS/EPER strives for systemic change – globally and in Switzerland.

We are looking for a

Programme Associate Humanitarian Aid, 100%

Your main responsibilities:

Programme and Project Management Support

  • You articipate in the programme and project review in view of quality and compliance with the HEKS/EPER’s strategy and standards.
  • You take the lead in the preparation of in-house administrative files required for the submission/ amendments/closure of projects according to the Project Approval Process**Finances**

  • You support central players in managing payments (in e.g. MyCompany) and

  • in reviewing of monthly financial reports

Fundraising and Acquisition

Human Ressource Support and Security

Internal and external representation, networking and learning

Interfaces

You work in direct hierarchical relationship with Desk officers in Zurich and/or Lausanne and in functional relationship:

  • With the Program Managers
  • With the Heads of Mission (and General- or Program Coordinators)
  • With other in-house services: management, fundraising, IT, human resources, etc.

To be successful you bring:

  • Professional experience (and/or relevant internships) of 3 years minimum, including two years overseas.
  • Excellent drafting skills in French and English. German and Spanish highly appreciated.
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to work in open space as much as manage remote communication.
  • Rigor and reliability, outstanding sense of organization.
  • Natural strive for coordination.
  • Good management of priorities and pressure to meet often conflicting deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of Windows and Office tools (Word and Excel in particular).
