Your tasks

  • Coordination of a privately/publicly financed project portfolio in the region of West and Central Africa
  • Management as well as show_content-related and administrative monitoring of projects of a project portfolio, incl. quality control and reporting
  • Participation in the development of innovative programmes, approaches and strategies in coordination with the respective Plan country/regional offices, Plan internal acquisition teams, donor interests and departmental objectives
  • Support in fund acquisition and donor communication
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships and programmatic alignment with Plan country offices
  • Providing regional and technical expertise to the department, to other teams and departments both within Plan Germany (e.g. marketing, communications) and at external partner and network meetings
  • Close coordination and exchange within the regional teams as well as with the department’s technical teams

Your profile

  • Successfully completed university studies in a development-relevant subject
  • At least three to five years of practical professional experience in development cooperation in Germany and/or abroad (at least three years of which abroad), preferably in the region of West and Central Africa
  • Thematic experience in a thematic area of development cooperation relevant to Plan is an advantage (e.g. sexual and reproductive health and rights, youth employment and entrepreneurship, political participation, gender)
  • Very good written and spoken German, French and English skills;
  • Very good MS Office skills
  • Team player, flexible and solution-oriented
  • Ability to work in tropical regions and willingness to travel at home and abroad
