Your tasks
- Coordination of a privately/publicly financed project portfolio in the region of West and Central Africa
- Management as well as show_content-related and administrative monitoring of projects of a project portfolio, incl. quality control and reporting
- Participation in the development of innovative programmes, approaches and strategies in coordination with the respective Plan country/regional offices, Plan internal acquisition teams, donor interests and departmental objectives
- Support in fund acquisition and donor communication
- Establish and maintain good working relationships and programmatic alignment with Plan country offices
- Providing regional and technical expertise to the department, to other teams and departments both within Plan Germany (e.g. marketing, communications) and at external partner and network meetings
- Close coordination and exchange within the regional teams as well as with the department’s technical teams
Your profile
- Successfully completed university studies in a development-relevant subject
- At least three to five years of practical professional experience in development cooperation in Germany and/or abroad (at least three years of which abroad), preferably in the region of West and Central Africa
- Thematic experience in a thematic area of development cooperation relevant to Plan is an advantage (e.g. sexual and reproductive health and rights, youth employment and entrepreneurship, political participation, gender)
- Very good written and spoken German, French and English skills;
- Very good MS Office skills
- Team player, flexible and solution-oriented
- Ability to work in tropical regions and willingness to travel at home and abroad
