JOB SUMMARY

MedGlobal is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program and Partnership Senior Officer to join our team in Egypt, working closely with the Gaza team through remote collaboration. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and implementing programs, establishing and nurturing partnerships, and contributing to the overall success of MedGlobal’s mission in the region.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Management:

  • Plan, implement, and oversee healthcare programs in collaboration with the Gaza team and other stakeholders.
  • Oversees the collection and dissemination of all data collected from assessments and activity reports. This includes pipeline reporting forms for relevant clusters, the 4Ws cluster forms for activities within Gaza, and any external reporting to donors. The officer will coordinate with Program Managers to ensure timely reports and data accuracy.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of healthcare needs in the region.

Partnership Development:

  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with local and international organizations, government entities, and community stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with existing partners to enhance program impact and sustainability.
  • Represent MedGlobal in meetings, conferences, and events to build relationships and promote collaboration.
  • Attends relevant HERC coalition, ERC coordination, cluster, inter-agency coordination meetings and reports on relevant information to the Response Team Leader or other teams as necessary.

Grant Writing and Reporting:

  • Prepare high-quality grant proposals and reports, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
  • Work closely with the finance team to track and manage program budgets effectively.
  • Compiles and circulates meeting reports to the Team leader, including action items for all parties, necessary assessment information, and an executive summary for headquarters.

Capacity Building and Training:

  • Provide support and training to local partners, healthcare professionals, and community members.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the organization and among partners.

Communication and Advocacy:

  • Ensuring the update of movement and communication-related tools and Mission contact information and their regular distribution (including movement lists and evacuation/lists) for MedGlobal staff within Gaza.
  • Contribute to the development of communication materials, success stories, and reports for internal and external audiences.
  • Advocate for healthcare policies that address the needs of vulnerable populations in the region.
  • Communication with partners about logistics, programing, advocacy, and similar matters. The officer will maintain a list of current, potential, and past partners and report updates on communications with each of them.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring program activities and logistical needs in the response. This includes coordinating the movements of staff (local and international) and related administrative formalities (passports, visas, flights per diems).
  • Oversee the transportation of humanitarian aid from abroad into neighboring countries (ie. Egypt and Jordan) and then into Gaza. Coordinate with logistics partners on the most efficient, fastest, and safest movement of humanitarian aid to MedGlobal’s team in Gaza.
  • Diagnose problems, provide feedback, and initiate solutions to scale up MedGlobal’s collaborative efforts in responding to this critical humanitarian situation (including identifying and forecasting the needed timeline and budget for the implementation of various Emergency activities)

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (public health, international development, etc.).
  • Proven 5 years experience in program management, partnership development, and grant writing in the healthcare or humanitarian sector.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, particularly in crisis-affected areas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites within the region.
