Title: Program Officer (Shanghai)
Reports to: Regional Program Head, Shanghai
Location: Shanghai
Main Responsibilities
- Implement Shanghai region strategy, coordinate and support project implementation, including documentation and database, concepts and proposals, financial and technical reports etc.
- Build and maintain relationships with enterprises, government agencies, NGOs, donors
- Assist with fund-raising efforts for regional project, including proposals and reports, relationships with funders, in collaboration with other team members
- Work with the other team members of WWF China and network offices colleagues to enhance WWF’s influence
- Perform other duties related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above related majors, such as conservation biology, environment sciences as well as natural resources management.
- Minimum of 3 years’ work experiences in related field; NGO background preferred
- Strong knowledge skills in project management, partnership development, communications, marketing /corporate and public relations communications.
- Excellent ability to work cross-culturally, proposal writing, policy analysis and information management
- Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork spirit, strategic thinking, result oriented, self-motivated, innovative, could be under high pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English.

Program Brief
Shanghai regional program focus on conservation work in eastern China, especially in Yangtze River Delta (YRD). The YRD region represents not only economic icon but important ecosystems and key species from river to sea. Fast development has brought great challenges to the nature but also provides platform to showcase how nature based solutions and green transformation can bend the curve and restore the environment for nature and people fast enough, which is what WWF Shanghai regional office is working hard to demonstrate. In
general, Shanghai regional program have 3 working streams: biodiversity (flyway, sturgeon, river dolphin, wetland etc.), footprint (climate & Energy, green transformation) and operation (OD, fundraising etc.).
