**Job Overview/Summary:**The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Program Officer, Planning for an Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) program, Switchboard. Switchboard is a one-stop resource hub for refugee service providers in the United States. Switchboard provides training and capacity-building services to ORR-funded refugee service providers in the United States, including resettlement agencies and affiliates, state agencies, ethnic community-based organizations, and others. The Program Officer, Planning, will help advance Switchboard’s monthly and annual workplans, problem-solve to address workplan challenges, maintain project management tools, and collaborate with Switchboard teams to achieve programmatic goals. This staff person may be located anywhere in the United States.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and maintenance of Switchboard’s annual and monthly workplans.
  • Coordinate with project leads for individual deliverables (webinars, toolkits, research products, etc.) to ensure all deliverables are completed on time and at a high standard of quality.
  • Troubleshoot issues that may arise, including delays, miscommunications, changes in direction, etc.
  • Maintain Switchboard’s project management platform, Airtable, including by tracking and updating all deliverables and making overall system enhancements.
  • Support Sr. Program Officer, Strategy in managing the review and vetting process for all Switchboard deliverables to ensure webinars, toolkits, research products, etc. are produced at a consistently high standard.
  • Together with Partnership Team, manage the workplans of sub-award partners:
    • Integrate partner workplans into overall Switchboard workplan and project management platform.
    • Monitor partner progress and collaborate with SPO, Strategy to correct issues, as needed.
    • Attend and participate regular partnership meetings.
    • Provide feedback to partners regarding deliverable quality and timeliness.
  • Coordinate with Monitoring Evaluation team to ensure the workplan is advancing in accordance with identified program targets.
  • Provide coverage for Sr. Program Officer, Strategy when out of office.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in project management, strategy, operations, or similar field
  • Demonstrated experience managing a detailed workplan utilizing a project management platform.
  • Organizational skills and a passion for keeping projects on track
  • Ability to adjust to changes in workplans with flexibility, patience, and a solutions-oriented attitude
  • Excellent problem-solving skills including ability to independently identify project management issues, assess options, and recommend solutions
  • Preferred: Familiarity and/or experience with technical assistance, capacity-building, and/or training programs and/or refugee resettlement stakeholders including federal agencies, service providers, and technical assistance providers

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
