Program Officer – Organizational Learning Coordinator

The Program Officer-Organizational Learning Coordinator for CORE will join a fast paced and dynamic team remotely, supporting emergency and disaster response programs domestically and internationally. This position will work closely with the VP of Programs and the Programs team to lead organization of program information and reports, knowledge and learning management, and development of recording and evaluation processes. Position Location: (Atlanta, GA or remote) Travel: 10%

Responsibilities:

  • Program support (regional level, 40% of time)
  • Support field teams and regions with navigating HQ processes
  • Leads knowledge management for programmatic documents, including structure design, set-up, and maintenance of files and folders
  • Represents Programs department in handover meetings for new contracts as they are confirmed
  • Participates in field assessments as needed to understand local needs and inform programmatic plans
  • Program support (HQ level, 40% of time)
  • Works closely with national leadership and team (President, VP of Programs and Director of Program Data) to coordinate and support cross-cutting programs and initiatives
  • Collaborates with Director of Program Data to synthesize relevant programmatic data with internal stakeholders
  • Works with national team to develop, adapt, and roll-out program templates and tools
  • Supports organization with historical program summary and develop understanding of past programs to guide new programs and initiatives
  • Cross-cutting, lesson gathering (Organizational level, 20% of time)
  • Consistent and regular communication of summarized program progress across organization
  • Coordinates regular meetings of program teams across the organization
  • Organize and facilitate regular meetings for skill sharing, technical working groups, etc.
  • Responsible for the creation of after action reports and program summaries

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of project management experience with an international development or humanitarian response organization
  • Knowledge of international development, emergency response, public health or community engagement programming
  • Very strong written/oral communication and organizational skills
  • Very strong coordination skills
  • Comfortable leading/facilitating virtual (and in-person, if needed) meetings with various stakeholders
  • Able to handle and complete multiple tasks simultaneously, work productively in a dynamic team environment, with accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English, written and oral.
  • Fluency in a second language, preferably French or Spanish, would be an asset.
  • Ability to exhibit a professional, positive attitude, empathy, and strong work ethic
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of time depending on organizational needs.
  • Advanced knowledge of word processing, Excel, and database maintenance.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must have U.S. work authorization.
