Feed the Children

A) Job Summary

Responsible for the program management and supervision in his/her assigned locations, conducts planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation ensuring that the activities are aligned to the plans, and VMG statements of the organization, develops and maintains network and linkages, ensures compliance of program administrative and financial based on the organization’s policies and procedures.

B) Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Program Management Planning & Supervision
  • Prepares specific plan for assigned locations based on the overall program direction
  • Manages optimally the resources allocated for the program locations including program administration and finance based on approved budget and policies and procedures.
  • Supervises partners, volunteers and beneficiaries mobilization to achieve planned deliverables.
  • Conducts orientation to partner stakeholders on the FTCPI’s VMG directions and project goals and objectives and level-off partnership agreements.
  • Establishes and maintains the profile or baseline of the assigned community.
  • Promotes open dialogue with partners through regular updating.
  1. Coordination and Linkaging
  • Coordinates w/ LGU officials & other key persons, institutions, organizations to ensure attainment of the expected outputs.
  • Maintains good and productive relationship with all partners involved (LGU, community, parents, children, etc)
  • Orients barangay stakeholders on the FTCP directions and project goals and objectives and level-off partnership agreements stipulated in the project.
  • Develops or trains leaders and second liners to sustain the community organization, projects and activities.
  • Provides support and shares technical expertise on Children and Youth activities in the partner communities.
  • Links with other NGOs and base/interest groups that are directly operating in the same area for possible collaboration and partnership.
  • Promotes and represents FEED in linkaging functions with other organizations or agencies and actively participates in other activities that benefit the development of the project or organization.
  • Implements or coordinates with other staff on activities or new projects that will be facilitated in the community.
  • Facilitates community exposures from other groups to showcase FEED best practices.
  1. Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Performs monitoring, consultation and group sessions with the community leaders on project issues and concerns.
  • Conducts regular and timely monitoring of implemented activities.
  • Provides and submits timely written, accurate reports and /or feedback to Immediate Supervisor.
  • Monitors budget performance vis-à-vis implementation plan.
  1. Documentation
  • Facilitates partnership agreement or MOA between FEED and the partner organizations
  • Prepares timely project narrative progress and terminal reports and submits them to Program Coordinator.
  • Maintains and updates efficient data banking, filing and documentation on activities, info needs, TNAs, etc. of the partner community or PO.
  • Ensures proper documentation including photos of all significant activities of the community.
  • Draws out lessons learnt & good practices of the project
  1. Child Sponsorship
  • Ensures that all children enrolled in the Child Sponsorship Program under his/her locations are monitored and updated regularly
  • Ensures that monthly reports and photo stories are complied with.
  • Ensures that collection and consolidation of artworks, updates, reports and stories are properly followed on its given timeline
  1. Project Admin
  • Maintains a personal daily activity report (DAR) to be verified by the Immediate Supervisor.
  • Assumes finance-related tasks and transactions necessary for project implementation such as cash advances and liquidations.
  • Ensures that administrative and financial policies and procedures are being observed in all project related transactions.

C) Qualifications & Requirements

  • Graduate of Social Science or any related course
  • At least 2 year of experience in program implementation
  • Background in community organizing, preferably with non-government organizations;
  • Good communication skills in both written and spoken -English;
  • Ability to relate with all kinds of people and background;
  • Can work independently and willing to work beyond the required daily time, when needed;
  • Computer literate and willing to travel alone.
