What You’ll Be Doing in the role of Program Manager, Experiential Fundraising Campaigns

The Program Manager Experiential Fundraising Campaigns will play a key role in managing and achieving revenue goals for Susan G. Komen’s centralized fundraising programs working with volunteer advisory groups, cross-departmental colleagues and market-based staff, the Program Manager will create programs, tools, infrastructure, technology systems, training and resources to support revenue generation. The Program Manager works closely with our volunteer fundraisers, ensuring that they have the support needed to achieve their fundraising goals on behalf of Susan G. Komen.

What You Will Bring To The Table

The primary objective of the Program Manager Experiential Fundraising Programs is to create top-tier fundraising resources, systems and training that provide a consistent and high-level constituent experience and to drive revenue to support Susan G. Komen in achieving our vision of a world without breast cancer. This person will:

  • Work with the Director, Corporate and DIY Fundraising Campaigns to establish strategy and direction for Komen’s centralized campaigns which include: DIY, Employee Engagement, and targeted campaigns such as Athletic Campaigns, Pet Campaigns and “In Honor of” and Memorial campaigns..
  • Manage technology platforms to identifying bugs and enhancements, training, centralized support for fundraisers and interface with vendor partners.
  • Engaging volunteers and staff for stakeholdering and consensus building, rollout, training and support to ensure success of the experiential campaigns.
  • Oversee the external roll-out of the campaigns, working closely with the various departments including Engineering, Marketing, Mission and Community Development teams. Work with the Marketing team to promote the program and campaigns to potential and existing fundraisers, and create a pipeline of new fundraisers to ensure revenue growth in the program.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in DIY fundraising programs and campaigns. Provide support, strategy and guidance to community development staff and cross-functional teams on program and campaign standards and best practices.
  • Evaluate historical performance by fundraising program to identify and develop strategies to grow DIY and experiential campaigns
  • Provide day-to-day support to volunteer fundraisers including fundraising coaching, trouble-shooting issues, providing resources, tools and materials.
  • Provide day-to-day support to community development market staff in various areas of experiential fundraising campaigns including marketing requests, technology platform requests and needs, troubleshooting issues, etc.
  • Coordinate and manage volunteer and staff workgroups as necessary for program execution.
  • Work with the local community development staff to ensure that all centralized campaign fundraisers are properly thanked, recognized, stewarded and renewed as members of the Susan G. Komen family.
  • Manage and ensure quality control of dashboards, reporting, opportunities, and data integrity for experiential campaigns in partnership with Operations/CRM team.
  • Work towards revenue targets and KPIs for each program to demonstrate growth and ROI
  • Work with other Experiential Team Members on special projects as needed.

We Already Know You Will Also Have

  • The ideal candidate will have: (Describe minimum (type and amount) of experience required for competent performance in the job)
  • Work and Education Experience: Professional, mature communication style and the ability to interact with corporate partners, executives, leadership volunteers, board members, high value donors
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in innovative nonprofit fundraising
  • Responsibility for revenue generation in a Workplace, DIY or Peer-to-Peer Fundraising program of at least $5M revenue annually
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but successful track record of successfully growing revenue in a similar program is more important
  • Understanding of fundraising technology systems, reporting and data management.

Preferred Experience Includes

  • Strong working knowledge of workplace and DIY Fundraising strategies, best practices, platforms, systems and tools
  • Experience with white-glove customer service or coaching
  • Consummate team member, willing to roll up their sleeves and operate in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage others in the achievement of revenue goals
  • Experience with evaluating data in excel and creating powerpoint presentations.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make recommendations for improvements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to innovate, be interested in exploring new technology and fundraising strategies.

Light travel mostly for team meetings, possibly to special events from time to time, but less than 10%.
