Our International Projects team is seeking a Program Management Advisor to join the team in North Wilkesboro, NC! In this role you will collaborate with Projects Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Technical Advisory team members, to identify needs and develop tools, trainings, for key programming roles. A day in the life of a Program Management Advisor:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
  • Serve on the Incident Management Team and deploys on Disaster Assistance Response Teams in a program management role to ensure good program management practice is followed and to facilitate coordination between Program Management and Information Officer roles.
  • Develop and deliver trainings, tools, templates, and resources for Samaritan’s Purse field office programs teams.
  • Provides Roving Program Officer support for field offices during peak seasons.
  • Provide program management support for Headquarter reviews for internal and external proposals and reports.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of and experience in humanitarian project cycle management, ideally in both disaster and recovery programming.
  • Ability to quickly assess training and development needs, and to define and develop relevant resources, tools, and training.
  • Familiarity with humanitarian donors, their diverse funding mechanisms, how they operate, donor requirements, and donor engagement.
  • Build rapport with, coach, and develop core competencies in staff serving on Program Management Roles in field offices, or serving on the Incident Management Team or on a Disaster Assistance Response Teams in Program Management deployments.
  • Review project proposals and reports, identify areas for improvement or clarification, and communicate feedback effectively.
  • Manage multiple tasks, determine appropriate priorities and meet reasonable, specific deadlines.
  • Public speaking and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff, and other audiences.

Type: Full-Time

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)

Travel Expectations: 80-100 days/annually; required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary
