Scope:

The Program Coordinator, Processing will play an important role completing pre-arrival processing responsibilities under the Reception and Placement (R&P) Program, as part of the Processing team within IRC’s Resettlement, Asylum, and Integration (RAI) Department. The Program Coordinator reports to the Senior, Program for Processing and works closely with other RAI staff and external partners.

Major Responsibilities

  • Assist in Allocation meeting preparations, tracking and case follow ups.
  • Support IRC field offices by reviewing and maintaining medical documentation.
  • Oversee I-94 documentation correction submissions and tracking.
  • Process assurance reports and case change updates.
  • Support field offices by notifying them of travel changes, re-bookings, handover requests and incidents.
  • Serve as back up for other Processing functions.
  • Create/update/organize Processing SOPs.
  • Become expert with processing functionality of RAI and PRM information systems: IRIS, WRAPS, and START. Participate in user testing for new IRIS functionality and enhancements and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date subject matter expertise in R&P program requirements, PRM guidance and track PRM Program announcements.
  • Maintain, organize and format Processing training materials and support training preparations and scheduling.
  • Cross-train with other Processing team units and provide assistance as assigned by Senior Program Officer, Processing.
  • Other ad-hoc projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Program Officer, Processing.

Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus

Work Experience:

  • 2-4+ years of experience in refugee resettlement field; demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the United States Resettlement Program
  • Experience communicating and working remotely.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer skills: advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel; Adobe; familiarity with IRIS, or START preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, set priorities, effectively manage time, and meet deadlines; exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment; aptitude for ongoing learning and adjusting to changes in process as needed.

Preferred experience & skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; proven ability to prioritize and deliver on time.
  • Strong analytic problem-solving skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage others and work through change in a proactive and positive manner.

Working Environment:

This position is remote.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirement.
