FACE

Strategic Planning and Projects Implementation

  • Responsible to monitor all field projects and project team’s on the ground to ensure the quality of services in all projects.
  • Supervise all projects implementation and support teams in maintaining services of the highest quality.
  • Ensure that child protection procedures are strictly implemented and effectively followed in coordination with the FACE Child Protection Manager.
  • Ensure that all FACE managers and staff in the projects act in accordance with the Egyptian Law and FACE’s Child Protection Policy.
  • Coordinate with the Director of the Family Integration Program on Case Management, Kafala and Training.
  • Regular monitoring through monthly meetings and weekly field visits with the Program Directors and Project Managers.
  • Ensure the monitoring and evaluation system implemented by field teams are working efficiently and provide quality data and information.
  • Work with the Program Directors and Managers as well as with the HQ to prepare long-term strategic plans (logical framework) and annual implementation plans.
  • Prepare annual implementation plan and budget for projects in collaboration with Financial Director in Cairo and HQ Financial Director as well as midyear review planning.
  • Supervise institutional funding implementation for the projects as well as reporting (such as European Union funding).

Financial/Accounting support

  • Ensure the respect of the organisations Finance Manual and procedures in the projects with the Financial Director (and in collaboration with International Finance Director at HQ).
  • Help prepare and give approval to Project Managers/Directors on all budget expenditures for projects.
  • Responsible of the respect by the Project Managers/Directors of the yearly approved budget.

Human Resource Supervision

  • Ensure the respect of the FACE Human Resource manual in the projects.
  • Provide technical feedback on staff recruitment, training requirement, and staff evaluations.
  • Support, manage and supervise Program Directors, Project Managers in their role.
  • Ensure fluid communications between all teams and programs.
  • Support Program Directors and Managers to solve the work problems/conflicts related to staff.
  • Provide clear leadership and management with an open style in line with the values and ethics of FACE.
  • Create a positive, secure, supportive environment for employees in projects.

Communication and networking :

  • Responsible of the communication on projects with journalists, visitors (and for respect of Child Protection guidelines).
  • Responsible for making and strengthening relationships, networking with relevant institutions and Ministries, agencies and NGOs working with the projects by attending meetings, seminars, workshops, events, and other activities (with Program Directors and key Managers) in collaboration with the Director of Family Integration Program and the Financial Director.
  • Keep up to date on international developments in the field of childcare/welfare/protection and advocate for family and community-based models on a national level.

Fundraising / Reporting

  • Participate and support the identification of new donors for the projects and follow up applications with new and current donors of the projects in Egypt with the support of HQ team.
  • Support the organisation of projects visits for donor agencies and/or visitors.
  • Ensure smooth communication with all donors related to the projects is maintained (in collaboration and with support of HQ team and fundraiser).
  • Conduct presentations to donor agencies when required.
  • Prepare specific donors reporting and FACE Annual Reports are prepared timely (in collaboration with HQ team).

*Requirements**

  • University/Master Degree in the field of Social work, Child Protection, Development or Education.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a development field organisation, with high-level leadership roles.
  • Extensive experience in project cycle management, M&E mechanisms, human resources management, team manager with strong positive leadership.
  • Strong ability to engage with donors, partners, and other local/international stakeholders.
  • Experience in partnership development with local/national Egyptian authorities (in particular: Ministry of Social Solidarity, National Council for Childhood and Motherhood) and civil society organisations to influence policy and strategic directions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets, develop staff, and work with executive management on both short and long term strategic planning.
  • Strong problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Fluency in English/Arabic, strong written and spoken English/Arabic language skills and ability to communicate the Mission and Vision of the organisation well in both languages.
  • Work environment: frequent field work in field projects (in Greater Cairo).
