Müslüman Eller Derneği (Muslim Hands Turkey) is a relief and development non-government organization established in 2019. In partnership with Muslim Hands International, a group with 27 members around the globe and the experience of more than 29 years, Müslüman Eller Derneği strives to work for the betterment of humanity regardless of race, ethnicity, or gender. Müslüman Eller Derneği aims to mobilize resources and provide a platform to International NGOs and donors, by engaging trustworthy Turkish organizations at both local and governmental level, focusing on the intervention areas of Education, WASH, Health, Emergency, Food Security and Livelihood. Our objective is an impartial, efficient, and wholly transparent process that ensures that donations and aid reach the marginalized groups and people that really need them.

Job Title: Program Coordinator

Job Description:
Muslim Hands Turkey office is seeking a Program Coordinator to oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of our programs in Turkey. The Program Coordinator will report to the Program Manager and Head of Operations and will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of program activities, as well as the timely reporting and monitoring of program performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project plans and work plans for program activities.
- In coordination with partners, proposal writing and completion of any pre-implementation documents.
- Manage and monitor program budgets, ensuring compliance with donor regulations and internal controls.
- Manage and develop relationships with project partners, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and collaboration.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of program activities, ensuring timely reporting and documentation of results.
- Management of P3 system (internal portal) for uploading proposals, keeping track of projects, and submission of reports.
- Report on Emergency situations in Turkey and Syria to the Country management without any delays.
- Ensure full accountability to donors and beneficiaries by engaging with implementing partners and be responsible for continuously improving transparency and value for money and programmatic impact.
- Financial oversight of the projects under his/her supervision. Responsible for ensuring financial management controls are effectively practiced through all program levels.
- In coordination with partners and Finance, monitor budgeted vs actual expenditure (BvA).
- Develop and implement strategies to address program challenges and identify opportunities for program growth and expansion.
- Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and other events as needed.
- Collaborate with other department heads to ensure alignment and coordination of program activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including taxation and labour laws.
- Manage and develop a team of program staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Field visits for reporting of the ongoing projects when required.
- Ensure effective use and management of IT and other organizational resources.
Qualifications:
- Turkish National
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as international development, social sciences, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in an NGO or international development context.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and teams.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of donor regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Turkish.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a results-oriented approach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel within Turkey as needed.
