Purpose and ScopeThe Associate Manager of Product Development & Production will manage the categories from concept through commercialization. This role serves as a key liaison between Design and Merchandising teams. Job Responsibilities · Manage product development and production process for fashion, basic, and off price lines· Partner with cross-functional departments to ensure timely execution of product development/production calendar.· Actively participate in key product development and production meetings with cross-functional team members and departments· Follow-up with vendors, factories and cross-functional departments as needed· Enter and maintain department information and updates in Company systems or shared drives · Manage sample ordering and delivery from prototypes, SMS, fit, photoshoot, PPS, and TOPs· Perform all category costing to achieve IMU targets · Issue all factory buys and purchase orders for all domestic/international and retail/wholesale clients.· Confirm bulk pricing and deliveries · Review weekly WIPs to update delivery dates and identify delivery risks· Assist in the bulk approval process· Approve sample and bulk invoices and UPCs Position Requirements Basic understanding of garment development/production, construction, and raw materials (fabric/leather)Must have excellent communication skills and creative problem solving skillsMust be detail oriented and possess strong time management and organizational skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and ExcelAbility to recognize and react to changing work demands and multi-task and prioritize effectivelyA sense of urgency and priority for deadlines Education and Training Bachelor’s Degree required Experience:· Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within the apparel industry
