Microcaps is a young company founded in March 2019. Our unique technology allows us to produce highly precise and innovative microcapsules that empower materials to unlock new capabilities, all tailored to various markets from cosmetics to nutraceutical and pharma.

Today, Microcaps technology can be found in a cosmetic skin serum and a vegan caviar. As we progress, our aim is to expand our production capacity and introduce a visionary and sustainable water-based fine fragrance. Subsequently, we plan to incorporate all-in-one nutrition delivery products into our portfolio. Join us on our mission to bring Swiss precision to the realm of microencapsulation.

To strengthen our team in Zürich-Dübendorf, we are recruiting a:

Production Manager, 100%

Our microencapsulation technology platform opens doors to a wide range of applications and solutions across our core markets cosmetics, nutraceuticals and pharma. After successfully launching first products in cosmetics, Microcaps is striving to build up and scale its own production environment. As Head of Production, you will closely work on ramping up the facility and establish processes, and later lead production.

Tasks

Your mission will include:

• Ramping up our production, including process validation, equipment validation, and facility set-up
• Plan, manage, and carry out our production process, including material acceptance, warehousing, inventory, production, quality control, packaging, and labelling
• Ensure the release of high-quality final products that meet regulatory standards
• Build up, lead and train a team of operators to meet increased product demands in the near future
• Continuously optimize production processes, implement best practices, and identify opportunities for automation and scalability to support future expansion plans.

Requirements

What you will bring:

• Production and people management expertise: You have a production mindset and already collected 5+ years of working experience in a production environment in industries such as food, cosmetics, fragrance, agrochemical, pharmaceutical, or chemical.
• Solution-oriented can-do attitude: You thrive on solving challenges and possess a passion for technical innovation. You enjoy optimizing processes to drive efficiency and quality
• Product management and product quality focus: You excel in managing production requests, following standard operating procedures (SOPs), and meeting delivery deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Open-minded team player: We are a diverse team, and everyone plays an essential part at Microcaps. We enjoy supporting and challenging each other – so it’s vital that you do, too.
• Strong communication skills in English and German
• Work permit in Switzerland
