Your future team
AIG’s Personal Insurance Strategic Planning team is at the fore-front of AIG Korea’s Personal Insurance business, focusing on overall strategic direction, planning, and management of the business. The team leads overall direction setting for our business and provides management expertise to ensure successful progress and delivery of results. Frequent interactions and collaboration with major functions such as distribution, product development, marketing, customer service, claims, etc. is a must for this team, as we design our future business direction, required initiatives, actions, and products, and overall reporting of results and trends.

Your contribution at AIG
As a Product Planning Manager, you play a critical role in ideation and planning of new products and services. Fit to customer trends and needs, market direction, distribution capacity, and product development / actuarial capabilities, are all critical requirements for this role, as you conceptualize new ideas and plans for product & service offerings of the future. Innovation and creativity are key, but the ability to combine and balance this with feasibility and marketability will be critical to you and the company’s success, and we welcome this type of mindset and thinking for this role. Organizational and attention to detail capabilities are also critical, as you will need to drive product & service idea through execution and launch. Ultimately, your successful drive will ensure that AIG Korea is a leader in new products & services innovation, as well as, maintaining market leading customer and distribution experience.

About the role:
Key Responsibilities

  • Generate product idea through ideation sessions
  • Develop product concept papers / Customer Value Proposition (CVP) and business cases based on identified customer needs obtained from such various means as customer survey, market research and overseas trend
  • Monitor regulatory, market, and industry movements and changes for identifying new opportunities.
  • Develop the product library where all the new products launched in the market place are listed up and specified in detailed manner.
  • Facilitate overall product planning process in conjunction with Product Development, Underwriting, and Distribution Channels.
  • Highly engage with product marketing process and preparation of distribution support materials prior to new product launching
  • Liaise and communicate with key stakeholders including regional office on regular basis to share key progress made or challenges with respect to product development.

What we’re looking for:
Key Capabilities & Experience:

  • Experience in product planning in the insurance industry.
  • Experience with customer insight and needs analysis, aligned to product and sales & marketing needs / planning.
  • Demonstrated ability and collaborative skills to function as a Personal Insurance leader within a cross-functional organization.
  • Highly developed analytical, communication and presentation skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaborate with technical and non-technical business groups across the organization.
  • High degree of professional confidence and credibility with effective presence, strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate concepts and plans that resonates with internal target audience at all levels.
  • Mature and proven track record in working independently and collaboratively with minimal guidance.
  • An outcome-driven, creative thinker with an innovative bent to business solutions and problem solving.
