Product Owner

Location: Flexible with some in-person team collaboration days

We are seeking a new Product Owner to support the team in embedding our core value of making it easy to do business. The Strategy & Change team is made from a small but dedicated team who are responsible for a number of applications, software and tools that are vital to our Partnership. The main function of the department is to ensure that all our Partner facing tools and applications relating to Advice run efficiently and effectively for the Partnership to enable a first class service for our Clients.

Who are we looking for:

Someone who has a natural flare for finding the detail, is tenacious in driving projects and ideals forward, a confident decision maker with a curious nature who will challenge and probe information and reasoning. You will be a genuine team player who cares about their work and outputs.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, own, and maintain product backlogs that deliver the product strategy
  • Cascade vision and provide direction and assistance to the development teams.
  • Manage release roadmaps and strategy, ensuring delivery is both timely and within budget.
  • Engage the Partnership and Field on the take up of advice applications and tools, liaising with other teams where appropriate to ensure Business Readiness.
  • Work with business stakeholders and the Partnership to understand, inform and influence business and technology strategies and their impact on advice application and tools.
  • Manage working arrangements with third party providers of advice application and tools.
  • Develop and enhance our digital advice proposition through exploring emerging technology which will enhance our proposition for the Partnership.

Special Requirements:

  • Ideally holds, or is willing to gain, a project management qualification such as Prince 2 or Agile at practitioner level, or a Product Owner qualification.
  • Although rare, we ask that the successful applicant be willing to
  • attend stakeholder meetings where required
  • support product releases outside core hours on average no more than 4 times per year
